  • Great for cleaning used record albums.

    I use this cleaner to remove dust and grime from used LP's. They sound like new afterward (as long as there are no scratches). I fill the reservoir with clean tap water and a little Dawn dishwashing liquid and set the temp to 30C. Once at temperature I start the cleaner and spin the record on a wooden dowel for about 90 seconds and then dry the vinyl with a clean new microfiber towel. I can clean about a dozen LPs before the water starts looking dirty. A special purpose US cleaner for LPs runs about $600USD, so this is well worth the price. Construction quality is comparable to the ones I have in my lab at the university. I'll let you know if the thing stops working but I've used it for a month now and it seems pretty solid.

    Sometimes, I can't believe just how clean some stuff comes, it looks BRAND NEW.
    Just be sure to add a bit of degreaser/soap/???. Adding a small amount of the right chemicals
    significantly enhances the cleaning...just be sure what you're adding to what... :)
    I put in a carburetor with some non toxic 'simple green' cleaner. The carb came out looking like brand new
    and ran like a champ. This thing cleans nooks and crannies and inside spaces almost impossible to clean otherwise.
    You can also use it to make colloidal (liposomic) vitamin C and other stuff!

    I’ve had multiple ultrasonic cleaners over the years and have had great luck with dk sonic units. I own 3 at the moment. I find that their specs and build quality are top notch. They heat fast and have plenty of transducers to make cleaning anything in there trivial. Construction is amazing but on my previous unit I did encounter a problem. Out of nowhere I had my 30l dk sonic cleaner stop powering on and i couldn’t figure out why. I got in touch with dk’s customer service and their support guy Jason was great. He emailed me back immediately and after sending them a video of my issue they determined that i wasn’t going to be able to repair it. He assured me that they stand behind their product and that they would do whatever they could to make it right. After offering to send me a replacement or a full refund I elected to refund and repurchase through amazon. I had my full purchase price back in only a few days and ordered the dk-3000pf. This unit is amazing, the quietest unit I have ever used. The new sound deadening they advertise is not just marketing fluff and I’m happy to say that the new touch interface is way more durable and confidence inspiring. Dk sonic makes and extremely nice unit for the price and their customer service makes me feel like they have my back if I have any issues. Thank you Jason for making this such a painless experience!

    The product arrived on time. This cleaner is very quiet, I was expecting the worst as normally ultrasonic cleaners are known for their noise. I specifically bought it because it was advertised as quiet - no exaggeration by the DK Sonic. This unit is so quiet I can work beside it without distraction or annoyance. The unit heats the water in 30 - 60 minutes depending on how hot. I was able to raise tap water up from 25C to 50C in about 30 min. Well insulated, the outside skin stays at room temp while the water is hot. Tried a few small cleanings (a ring, piece of dirty, greasy plastic) and it obviously works as you can see the dirt particles begin to collect on the bottom of the tank. Easy to clean out after, just drain the water and wipe the inside with a rag. The stainless interior cleans very easy. A little pricier than the other brands but well worth it, looks and feels very sturdy. The control area is a true touch pad and has no physical buttons or membrane switches, just the very lightest touch to activate. Programming is fairly straight forward and adapts to how you activate the buttons, it will advance the settings by large or small amounts all based on the length of time you delay between each touch. Takes a minute to get used to but after that makes setup very quick.

Does an ultrasonic cleaner need to be added with cleaning agent?

Although ultrasonic cleaning machines are very powerful in physical cleaning, for most practical applications, especially when it comes to grease and stubborn stains, the use of special cleaning agents is a necessary means to achieve the best cleaning effect, improve efficiency, and protect the objects being cleaned. What is the optimal operating temperature range for ultrasonic cleaning machines?

Water-based cleaning fluid: This is the most commonly used. For most water-based cleaning agents, the optimal temperature range is usually between 50°C and 60°C. In this temperature range, the viscosity of dirt (especially grease and oil) decreases, making it easier to peel and emulsify. The cavitation effect of ultrasound is more efficient at this temperature (the cavitation intensity is weak when the temperature is too low, and the cavitation intensity is also weakened when the temperature is too high because the internal pressure of the bubbles decreases).
